Nia is a comprehensive “dance” cardio-fitness class that engages the whole body, includes mindful movement guidance and somatic education, and empowers people of all shapes and sizes. * Nia is for EVERY BODY and can be adapted to individual needs and abilities. 

* Each class includes warm-up, sustained non-impact aerobic conditioning, strength training, cool down and stretching. All routines employ 52 basic movements and techniques which increase flexibility, agility, mobility, stability, and strength. Classes are taken barefoot and are taught to diverse music, including pop, electronica, jazz, Latin, New Age, Indian and hip hop.  

*Nia has been around for over 30 years and is currently offered in over 48 countries!

*While this is a non-impact practice, “Nia” is the name of this technique, it is NOT an acronym (although it may have been originally inspired by aerobics, it does not stand for Non-Impact Aerobics- it is SO MUCH MORE 

*Nia Technique offers comprehensive training to instructors and continuing education around anatomy, physiology, teaching techniques, body-mind-emotions-spirit connection, energy and healing, and more.
