"Sore back this winter? Learn Yoga to ease back discomfort"
This workshop will focus on a sequence of postures that increases flexibility and range of motion in the shoulders and spine. By bringing awareness to areas in the body that feel "stuck" we become more resilient but also more receptive to the world around us. Restriction in the back often indicates a lack of focus and clarity; so as we restore flexibility and movement to the spine, we find our decision-making capacity enhanced.
Beginners and those with back pain will learn techniques to safely practice yoga postures. More advanced practitioners will find ways of deepening their practice by engaging support that transcends the mechanics of the muskoskeletal system.
This workshop is open to practitioners all levels.
Nikhil blends traditional yogic wisdom with embodied western anatomy to encourage his students to inquire deeply into the body-mind connection.
