About Breath & Movement
Breath and Movement (also called "Strength & Conditioning") is an exploration of breath entrainment with physical movement. This class uses squats, push-ups, and sit-ups as foundational exercises and then branches off to create many variations and combinations to challenge both the body and the breath. Through a deeper understanding of breathing as it relates to movement and work, this training increases lung capacity and greatly improves stamina by proper breathing alone. While breathing is the focus of the work, physical strength is greatly developed through the practice of functional movement. Breath and Movement also explores joint mobility, and greatly increases the strength of ligaments and tendons creating more stable and stronger joints.
This training can be quite rigorous at times, so come prepared to breath, sweat and move! Please wear comfortable workout clothing.
Sensei Ryan Miller teaches this class as a series, please inquire if interested.
