ABOUT BELLY DANCE
Modern tribal belly dance pulls from ancient traditions and from a vast range of cultures. When paired with meditation, self compassion, and spiritual inquiry the practice of belly dance becomes much more than just a great workout, it is moving meditation and worship of the human body. Join this long and diverse lineage of dancers in celebration of the human form, community, and Shakti or divine feminine creative power. All shapes, ages and dance experiences welcome!
**Please wear comfortable clothing for ease in movement. Traditionally, a long flowing skirt is worn, this is optional.
**Note that all belly baring is optional and completely up to each individual dancer. Any performance opportunity is also completely optional.
